Lace front vs full lace wigs: a plain-language guide

Short answer: A lace front wig has fine lace only along the front hairline, so the front looks natural while the rest of the cap is sturdier. A full lace wig has lace across the whole cap, so you can part and style it anywhere and even wear it pulled back. Lace front is easier for everyday use. Full lace gives more styling freedom. What "lace" means in a wig
The lace is a very fine mesh base. Individual hairs are tied into it by hand, so when it sits on the skin the hair seems to grow straight from the scalp. Lace is what makes a hairline look soft instead of having a hard edge.
Lace front wigs
How they're built: Lace runs along the front hairline, usually from ear to ear. The back and crown use a firmer cap.
Good for:
- Everyday wear with a natural-looking front hairline
- First-time wig wearers
- People who mostly wear their hair down or with a side or middle parting
Keep in mind: Because the back isn't lace, very high ponytails or fully pulled-back styles can show the cap. If you love wearing your hair up, tell us.
Full lace wigs
How they're built: The entire cap is lace, so hair is hand-tied over the whole head.
Good for:
- Parting in any direction
- Ponytails, buns and pulled-back styles
- People who want the most styling freedom
Keep in mind: Full lace is more delicate and needs gentler handling and careful washing. We explain care at the fitting.

Questions to ask yourself before choosing
- How do I usually wear my hair? Down most of the time points to lace front. Often up points to full lace.
- How much time do I want to spend on care? Lace front is simpler.
- Is this for daily life or a special occasion? Many clients keep a daily wig and get styling done for functions and weddings.
- Is my scalp sensitive right now? Tell us. We make lightweight, gentle wigs for cancer patients and for people with alopecia, and we take extra care with the fitting.

- Density: how full the hair should look; real hair is not equally thick everywhere

- Fit: measured so it sits comfortably and securely

- Brush gently from the ends upwards
- Wash with mild products and let it air-dry on a stand
- Keep heat styling low
- Store it on a stand or in its box, away from sun and dust
