What is a hair topper?

A hair topper is a light hair piece with a small base that sits on the top of the head, over the crown or the parting. Your own hair is pulled through or over the edges, so the topper and your hair become one style. It adds volume and coverage on top while the rest of your hair stays as it is.

Who a hair topper suits

Women with a widening parting, thinning on the crown or less volume on top.
Men who are thinning on top but still have hair at the sides and back.
Anyone who wants more volume on top for daily life, work or functions, without a full wig.

Hair topper, hair patch or wig?

A topper is for thinning on top when you still have hair there. A hair patch is for a bald area that needs full coverage, such as the front hairline or the crown. How we make your topper

First we talk about the look you want and check how much hair you have on top. We measure the area, so the base is only as big as it needs to be. Then we match the colour in more than one tone, choose the texture and keep the density natural, not heavier than your own hair. We make customized hair pieces at our own unit, so quality and fitting stay in our control. On fitting day, we cut and style the topper together with your own hair.

Fitting options

Most toppers are worn with small clips, so you can put the topper on in the morning and take it off at night. Tape or glue can be used when you want it to stay on for longer. Tape and clip fitting are free; only glue fitting is charged. We show you how to put the topper on at home in a few minutes.

Free repair, maintenance and hair wash

Repair and maintenance are free for every topper made at Bunty's: cleaning, re-fitting and re-styling to keep it looking fresh. Every client also gets a free hair wash. We show you how to wash, dry and store your topper at home, and toppers made elsewhere can be checked too; we explain any charges first.

Daily care at home

A topper lasts longer with a simple routine. Comb it gently from the ends upwards with a wide-tooth comb, wash it with a mild shampoo and conditioner when it feels heavy or less fresh, and let it dry on a stand instead of using high heat. Store it on a stand or in its box when you are not wearing it, and keep it away from strong sprays and oils. We show you each step at the studio and you can message us on WhatsApp any time you have a question.
