Changing a hair patch made elsewhere: what to bring and what happens
Oct 19, 2026
Short answer: If you already wear a hair patch made somewhere else and want a better fit, colour match or hairline, bring your current patch to Bunty's Hair & Skin Studio, Old Padra Road, Gajanand Complex, Vadodara. We check it with you, plan a new custom patch, then fit and style it at the studio. Until 10 November 2026, you get 25% off a new custom patch when you exchange a patch made elsewhere.
Common reasons people switch
Clients usually come to us after wearing another patch for a while. The reasons are often the same:
- The hairline looks too sharp or too thick to pass as natural
- The colour no longer matches their own hair, especially as grey comes in
- The base feels hot, heavy or uncomfortable
- The patch lifts at the edges or needs refits too often
- Repairs take too long where it was made
None of this means patches "don't work". Usually it means the piece wasn't planned closely enough around the person wearing it.
What to bring
- Your current patch: wear it to the studio if you can, so we can see how it sits.
- Photos: a couple of photos of you before hair loss, or of a hairstyle you like, help us plan the hairline.
- Your routine: office, travel, gym, sports, helmet use. This affects base and fitting choice.
- Questions: write them down. We'd rather answer everything before we start.
You can also send photos on WhatsApp (+91 97245 56681) first. We'll tell you whether your patch qualifies for the exchange offer.
What happens at the consultation
Step 1: We look at your hair and your old patch. We check the area of hair loss, your remaining hair, and how the current patch is built and fitted.
Step 2: We plan the new patch with you. Size, base type, colour, density, hairline shape and style. A front-hairline patch, a crown patch or a full patch all qualify.
Step 3: We choose a fitting method. Tape and clip fitting are free. Glue fitting is charged. We explain which suits your routine.
Step 4: Quote and timeline. We give you an exact quote for the new patch, with the 25% exchange discount applied, and confirm how long making it will take. We don't publish fixed prices because every patch is custom.
Fitting day
- We fit the new patch, then cut and style it into your own hair.
- Every client gets a free hair wash.
- We show you daily care and explain your refit schedule.
After the switch
Because your new patch is made at Bunty's, you get:
- Free repair and maintenance for that patch
- A 2-year warranty. We explain the terms at your consultation.
